Seamless Site Access with ANPR, Intercom & Remote Management

AV Kiwi recently partnered with Gateman Automatic Gates to deliver a complete access control solution for a busy construction site, combining security, convenience, and remote management into one integrated system.

The project included the installation of a commercial automated boom gate, an advanced intercom system, and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology. The ANPR system automatically identifies authorised vehicles, allowing seamless entry and exit without the need for access cards or manual gate operation. This not only improves site security but also keeps traffic flowing efficiently throughout the day.

To give the client full control over site access, we also installed a monitor within the site office, connected via a secure wireless point-to-point link. This allows office staff to view and manage the gate system, add or remove authorised number plates, and communicate directly with visitors through the intercom before granting access.

One of the standout features of this installation is its independence from fixed internet infrastructure. The entire system operates over a 4G connection, making it an ideal solution for temporary or remote construction sites where traditional broadband services may not be available. The system is also fully remote managed, enabling software updates, diagnostics, system monitoring, and support to be carried out without the need for an on-site visit.
